How far will this macabre count go?
Since the thousand deaths announced in the wake of the earthquake that shook Turkey and Syria on the morning of February 7, the count is increasing hour by hour.
After 12,000 on Wednesday, 17,500 deceased victims were announced on Thursday, and now more than 20,000 on Friday morning.
This official toll should increase further "
considerably
" in the coming days, warned Thursday the head of the relief service in northwestern Syria Raed Saleh, insofar as "
many families are (are) still under the collapsed buildings
”.
On site, the rescue teams continue to work.

) are deployed first to sniff out traces of human life.
When the canids confirm a lead, vibraphones or tiny, swiveling cameras are inserted through the rubble to attempt contact.
