The epigraph sets the tone.
At the head of her book,
Jacline qui?
Response to Éric
Zemmour
(Éditions Bouquins), prefaced by Michel Onfray, Jacline Mouraud chose a quote from Cléobule de Lindos:
“Consider as a public enemy whoever hates the people.”
Eric Zemmour will appreciate.
Because the conclusion of the author is without appeal:
"Reconquest has become a huge mess, there is no other word."
.
The former figurehead of the "yellow vests", member of the political committee of the candidate during the presidential campaign, publishes, mid-March, an incendiary book, that
Le Figaro
was able to consult, and in which she discusses her experience at Reconquête, and the internal dysfunctions of the movement.
In a story combining private elements, antivax positioning, scenes of country life and personal appreciations, Jacline Mouraud delivers her version of the Zemmourist campaign.

Her feeling, first, of having been despised, during the months of the campaign, by the close guard of Éric Zemmour, to whom she would not have succeeded in making the need to address the working classes heard, that she claimed to represent.
She recounts difficult exchanges, text messages that remained unanswered, discussions that turned sour, or her eviction from certain official photos.
A change in tone, too, which the author describes with some resentment.
First, this month of December 2021, where Éric Zemmour pushes her to give him his official support, specifying:
“It is now that I need you”
.
Then this April meeting, the day after the first round of the presidential election, where the disappointed candidate would have let go:
"But my dear Jacline, no one ever came to tell me that they had joined Reconquête because you were there!"
.
“
Popular France does not interest them.
(...) They only have eyes for supporters of the National Rally and the Republicans, inserted, while I'm talking about voters who decide on Sunday in the voting booth, who don't care about social networks, who are exhausted by the contempt of the elites
”, concludes Jacline Mouraud, evoking her feeling of having been exploited.

Internal dysfunctions
From this
“failed candidacy”
, she delivers a few scenes.
Like this time when she tried to gather support from royalist circles thanks to one of her contacts met on the ground, and the file was
“swept out of hand”
.
This moment when the direction of the movement puts a spoke in her way to preside over the Association des Motards with Éric Zemmour... This other time, where exasperated, she expresses her wish to leave the adventure but is retained in extremis by Philippe de Villiers.
All those moments when Marion Maréchal, Guillaume Peltier and so many others promised to work with her... without ever calling her back.
And these dysfunctions, also, on the ground, for the legislative elections where certain candidates had to campaign with
“two articles printed”
for not having received the posters.

An accumulation of faults which, according to her, form a failed adventure.
Due, in particular, to the control of a restricted Parisian circle on the decision-making process.
Of a person, precisely, on which the resentment of Jacline Mouraud focuses: a certain Sarah Knafo.
“Not a comma, not a word, not a decision escapes the infused science of Éric Zemmour's companion.
(...) His omnipresence and his control over everything will have been the major problem of the electoral campaign.
Bitter about the way the campaign ended, and the contempt shown by Éric Zemmour when he pretended to forget his name, on the set of CNews, Jacline Mouraud concludes her work as she began it, with a message.
“After a year of collaboration, Éric Zemmour
Jacline who?
"
He now has the answer."
