The drop in gas consumption in France, excluding use in power plants, reached 6.2% in 2022 compared to 2021, the manager of the gas transmission network GRTgaz announced on Friday.
The sobriety efforts and the high prices in 2022 have led to this drop in gas consumption (in climate-corrected data), excluding the gas-fired power stations which have been running at full speed to compensate for the temporary difficulties of the electricity fleet. -French nuclear power last year, according to data provided by GRTgaz on Friday.
