Police believe the case involves a transnational prostitution ring.

The arrested persons, through Thai members of the syndicate, used online platforms to lure local women into Hong Kong, falsely claiming that they would arrange to work as masseurs in large overseas hotels or resorts.

When they arrived in Hong Kong, criminal syndicates would take them to some harsh workplaces in Temple Street, where they were forced to provide sexual services and imprisoned.

Superintendent Chung Ya-lun of the West Kowloon Regional Criminal Headquarters (Operations) said that a report was received the day before yesterday (8th) that two Thai women were illegally imprisoned and forced to provide sexual services in Temple Street, Yau Ma Tei.

The two victims did not comply. Although the mobile phone was confiscated, the two found another phone in the messy unit.

They secretly contacted their family members in Thailand and sought help from the Thai Consulate in Hong Kong.

After receiving the report, the police quickly went to the relevant location to rescue the two women, and then arrested a 50-year-old woman nearby.

During the operation, three women were arrested, including the group's 69-year-old female leader "Queen of Temple Street" and her 32-year-old biological daughter.

The police have arrested two more women for two consecutive days since yesterday (9th). One of them is a 69-year-old female mastermind surnamed Su; population; as for a 50-year-old woman surnamed Yan who was arrested on the day of the incident, she was responsible for attracting guests and leading the way, and directly collecting meat money, while most of the victims would not receive anything in return.

Su and Yan have each been provisionally charged with one count of "trafficking another person into or out of Hong Kong".

The case will be brought up in Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts tomorrow morning.

The police pointed out that the mother and daughter held several properties in Temple Street for prostitution purposes, and believed that they contacted local women through members of Thai prostitution rings.

The group falsely claimed that they would be arranged to work as massage workers in large hotels or resorts overseas, and that they would provide air tickets and accommodation, making them believe that working overseas could earn a considerable income.

Zhong Yalun described the criminal group as shameful, and the deceived woman lived in a remote area of ​​Thailand with poor living conditions and low education level.

It is understood that the prostitution syndicate is controlled by the gang "Fu Yixing".

It is reported that the "Queen of Temple Street" does not speak Thai, but she has a male partner in his 60s who understands Thai. It is believed that he is responsible for contacting local people in Thailand and luring Thai women into Hong Kong for prostitution through social platforms. It is estimated that he is currently Not in Hong Kong.

The investigation is still ongoing. The police believe that the case involves a transnational prostitution syndicate. The police will exchange information with the Thai police through relevant departments.
