He pointed out that the United Arab Emirates is an important partner in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" and has jointly developed a number of important projects with China, while Hong Kong has the necessary supporting facilities for the projects and can provide financing, architectural design and professional services for relevant enterprises.


Li Jiachao pointed out that the UAE will be Hong Kong's 14th largest trading partner in 2021, and the trade volume between the two places will increase by 35% compared with 2020 to approximately US$12.8 billion.

As early as 2020, Hong Kong is already the ninth largest trading partner of the UAE, and the bilateral trade between the two places will increase by an average of 4.1% year-on-year between 2017 and 2021.

As of October 2022, a total of 36 UAE companies have set up offices in Hong Kong, four of which are regional headquarters, which shows that there are endless business opportunities between the two places.

Later, Li Jiachao led a delegation from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to visit the Future Museum in Dubai.
