Listeria: massive recall of around thirty cheeses throughout France

It is rare for a food product recall to be so extensive.

Between the procedures of a few days ago and those of this Friday, the health authorities ordered the recall of thirty cheeses, all from the brand "La Société laitière de Vichy".

And sold between October 1, 2022 and February 4, 2023. In question?

Suspicion of contamination with listeria, the bacterium responsible for listeriosis.

Several tomme cheeses, raclette cheese or fromage blanc are in the sights of the authorities.

Unlike the other recalls, these were not only sold in supermarkets, but also in certain cheese shops or creameries.

“People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor, notifying him of this consumption”, alerts the

platform governmental.

Any holders of the cheeses in question are asked to throw them away or bring them back to the store for reimbursement.
