South Africans, members of the Syrian community and representatives of a number of diplomatic missions flocked to the Syrian Embassy in Pretoria to offer condolences for the earthquake victims in Syria.
The arrivals to the embassy headquarters expressed their solidarity with Syria and its people following the catastrophic earthquake that befell it.
A number of representatives of foreign embassies and diplomatic missions in Pretoria wrote words of sympathy and solidarity with the Syrian government and people, including the embassies of Algeria, Iraq, the Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Eritrea, Cuba, Pakistan, Brazil, Mexico and Uruguay.
A number of the Syrian community in South Africa also made in-kind and relief donations to be delivered to those affected by the earthquake, expressing their solidarity with the motherland in its ordeal.
The Syrian Embassy in Pretoria opened a register to offer condolences to the victims of the earthquake that occurred in Syria last Monday.
