Running a relief aid convoy from the people of Yabroud to the affected people in Jableh

Rif Dimashq, SANA- The people of Yabroud today saw five trucks of various relief aid and a bus carrying quads.

Today, the people of the city of Yabroud sent five trucks of various relief aid and a bus carrying human cadres to help those affected by the earthquake in the city of Jableh, Lattakia Governorate.

The head of the local council in Yabroud, Majed Moneim, confirmed to SANA reporter that since the earthquake occurred, the city has mobilized its people, its economic and industrial activities, its charitable societies and volunteer teams in coordination with the local council, and started collecting cash and in-kind donations to stand by the afflicted in the governorates.

Munem indicated that the aid includes clothes, medicine, baby formula, and diapers, in addition to household supplies and electric cables, pointing out that work is underway to secure tents and other aid that will be sent as part of a convoy that will travel next Tuesday to the city of Aleppo.

For his part, a member of the provincial council, Imad al-Khatib, who heads the aid convoy heading to the city of Jableh, confirmed that the value of donated aid from various activities in the city exceeded 700 million pounds, pointing out that the fundraising process is still continuing.

Al-Khatib indicated that the local council, in cooperation with the volunteer team, the Al-Mahabba Association, and the Fingerprint of Syrian Youth, are preparing to run a convoy of relief and in-kind materials to the city of Aleppo to help those affected by the earthquake and stand by them.
