The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced the launch of 42 large relief trucks towards Syria, loaded with relief and food materials.
The Iraqi Minister of Defense, Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi, said in a statement, a copy of which was received by SANA correspondent: “The ministry sent a convoy of humanitarian and relief aid, which included a number of food and relief items, with a total of 42 trucks.”
Al-Abbasi explained that this comes in addition to the air effort previously provided by the ministry to open an air bridge that included 24 flights to transport aid and return Iraqi families who survived the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
