Today, Tartous governorate drove three cars belonging to the Syrian Trade Branch, with the support of civil activities, loaded with more than 800 baskets containing foodstuffs, vegetables, clothes and water for those affected by the earthquake in Lattakia governorate.

A member of the executive office of the supply sector, George Hanna, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the relief sub-committee in the governorate is working to organize the individual aid received from various activities, with the participation of all sectors and sending it to our people in the governorates affected by the earthquake.

In his turn, the director of the Syrian Trade Branch, Mahmoud Saqr, stated that two cars carry about 812 food baskets of various types of vegetables, canned food, and foodstuffs, while the third car contains 200 bags of water of a capacity of one and a half liters, in addition to a large amount of clothes, adding: The Syrian mechanisms and cadres Trade is in full readiness to implement the relief operation, as all donations are received in the Foundation’s warehouse, which has been allocated and is located to the west of the Directorate of Agriculture.

A member of the leadership of the Student Union branch, Hussein Al-Shalouf, indicated that about 300 students from Tartous University participated in the packaging of food baskets and others, by dividing the work among them.

A member of the leadership of the Revolutionary Youth Union branch, Amna Abdel Rahman, stated that the volunteer team of youth is participating in volunteer work in various regions of the governorate, including 50 volunteers who are participating today in the donation processing operations in the Syrian Trade Warehouse.

While Noor Ali Al-Sheikh, a student at the Faculty of Arts, said: What happened happened to all of us, and we must be one hand as we were in all circumstances, and we must all help those affected to meet their needs.

Reem Kaddour, a student in the pharmacy department, saw volunteering as a humanitarian act that the Syrian people are accustomed to.

The third secondary student, Hassan Masri, considered that his love for voluntary work prompted him to help those affected, which also confirms the cohesion of the people of Syria in adversity.

Israa Nayef, a student at the Faculty of Economics, found that the Syrian people have always been one hand and one heart, and today, with this painful disaster, it is our duty to be together to relieve those affected by various means of material and moral humanitarian assistance.
