In support of those affected by the earthquake, 54 male and female artists, among the most important names in the Syrian plastic scene, collected their best works of art in Zawaya Gallery for plastic art, through a charity exhibition titled “Art for Syria”, whose entire proceeds go to associations and organizations that support people affected by the earthquake in Syrian.

The plastic artist, Ghazi Aana, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that 54 artworks of painting, photography, sculpture and graphics were included in the corridors of Zawaya Gallery, in support of those affected by the earthquake, and an expression of the solidarity of Syrian plastic artists with the afflicted, which are renewable works of a high artistic and cultural level.

The Director of the Directorate of Fine Art and participant in the exhibition, Wassim Abdel Hamid, pointed to the eagerness and quick response of the artists to participate in this humanitarian initiative, calling on his behalf and on behalf of the plastic artists to break the siege and lift the unfair Western sanctions against Syria.

“A token of love and a small touch of solidarity that we offer to our brothers affected by the earthquake. We hope to wipe away a tear of pain or contribute to warming a child, feeding the hungry, and clothing the sick with all our love.” With these words, plastic artist Issam Mamoun expressed his happiness to participate in this initiative.

In turn, the plastic artist Ahmed Abu Zina stressed that the West has proven its inhumanity in these difficult circumstances through its silence on the American injustice with its unjust decisions and its theft of Syrian wheat and oil.

Plastic artist Ammar Shawa explained that it is an important initiative, with its timing and value, to be a balm for wounds and a gesture of love from the people of love.

The exhibition will last for six days through an electronic platform, starting from today until the 16th of this month.
