An unidentified aircraft was shot down yesterday (Friday) in Alaska, after it was detected in the skies of the state when it was moving at an altitude of about 40,000 feet.

The President of the United States ordered the operation a day after it was identified, after which the tool was transferred to an analysis laboratory.

The aircraft, which is about the size of a small car, was spotted on Thursday night.

Due to the high altitude at which it traveled, it posed a danger to civilian aircraft, and a few hours later, after no further information was received about the owner of the vehicle, President Biden made the decision to shoot it down, and an F-22 fighter jet carried out the operation.

It was also reported that the president made the decision after fighter jets were near the vessel, and it was estimated that it was unmanned.

"We don't know who it belongs to, if it is owned by the state, owned by a corporation or privately owned," said an official in the country.

"We will remain vigilant in our airspace," he added.

"The president is performing his duty to protect our national security interests - and to prioritize them with utmost importance."

More details about the tool have not yet been revealed, and it is not clear by whom it was sent and whether it was sent for the purpose of collecting information about me.

The event takes place only about a week after a Chinese spy balloon was shot down in the United States, after hovering for several days over the Atlantic Ocean.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry claimed that the balloon found was an accident caused by "force majeure".

They accused American politicians and media of exploiting the situation to discredit China.

In the United States, they added that the balloon was a clear violation of the country's sovereignty, and at the same time, Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken postponed his visit to China, which was planned to take place shortly after the event.
