The Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, confirmed that the West's plans to defeat Russia had "failed."
The Russian Novosti Agency quoted Antonov as saying: “The Western world has taken up arms against us, and yet it is clear today that plans to inflict a strategic defeat on our country have failed,” noting that his country has rebuilt its economy, strengthened its military power, and intensified cooperation with most countries over the past year.
Antonov added: We live under economic sanctions, they even want to wipe Russia off the political map of the world, and day after day Russian diplomats feel the desire of non-friends to undermine our centuries-old relations with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Asia, Africa and Latin America, stressing that his country will not It abandons its goals, foremost of which is the formation of a democratic world order based on equality and respect for international law.
