After the first stage of the Political Trial in Deputies was launched, Amcham, IDEA and ACDE spoke. Several of the most important business entities in the country published statements to

denounce the damages for the country that the pro-government advance against the Supreme Court will generate

through the opening of the impeachment trial in the Chamber of Deputies.

The

Chamber of Commerce of the United States in Argentina (AmCham)

released a text in which it points out the "inaction of the National Congress in the face of the problems that afflict society."

"Congress is paralyzed by the initiative of the impeachment of the members of the Supreme Court of Justice who, in addition to not having the possibility of prospering due to the relationship of force in the two Chambers, their declaration of admissibility and opening of summary proceedings has no no justification, nor does it prove sufficient constitutional elements to be effective", says the text, which calls for Congress to function again to deal with the real problems that concern society.

"Argentina is in a difficult economic situation. The most relevant factors are the drop in liquid reserves of the Central Bank that limits the import of inputs and intermediate products for industry and commerce, added to the effects of the drought that decrease production agriculture and therefore affect exportable levels, will reduce the level of activity already affected by the drop in private investment and will place us in the feared scenario of stagflation: recession with high inflation rates," AmCham stated in its statement.

The

Institute for Business Development of Argentina (IDEA)

also showed its position.

"We view with concern the progress of the request for impeachment of the members of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation. In tune with various representatives of civil society who have already expressed themselves against this initiative, we believe that it affects the principles of functioning of our republican system since it is fundamentally based on the disagreement on the part of a political sector with the content of some recent sentences", says the text, published after the Commission for Political Trial of Deputies determined the admissibility of the causes of Political trial of the four members of the Supreme Court promoted by the Government.

In turn,

the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE)

said that "it views with great concern how the attack by the Executive Power continues on the members of the Supreme Court of Justice for not agreeing with some of its rulings."

"We urge the Deputies of the Impeachment Committee to address urgent issues that the country needs," says the ACDE statement, after pointing out that "respect the scope of decision of each of the State powers, comply with the commitments assumed by the country with its creditors, ensuring internal peace, improving security throughout the territory, seeking the well-being of Argentines, seriously attacking inflation, improving the education of young people by demanding compliance with approval standards, among others urgent issues, should be the task that occupies the rulers of our country and in particular the National Congress.

Instead of that, the few energies that remain are

being wasted in an unfeasible process against Justice

”.
