The Syrian Director of Civil Aviation, Eng. Basem Mansour, announced that the number of countries that applied for landing permission at Syrian airports to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake reached 21, including four countries that submitted landing requests today, and they were approved, namely Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Sudan and Belarus.
Mansour said in a statement to SANA: Syria welcomes and thanks everyone who contributes to extending a helping hand to the victims of the devastating earthquake, and will agree to the landing of planes of countries wishing to send aid.
Mansour pointed out that the number of planes that carried aid and landed in Syrian airports has so far reached 61 planes.
