Standard Chartered Marathon|Multi-district road closures and diverted illegally parked vehicles will be towed away from Saturday night

The Hong Kong Marathon 2023 will be held next Sunday (12th). At that time, special traffic arrangements will be implemented in South New Territories, West Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Many roads will be closed or implemented in stages starting from Saturday (11th) night road traffic

During the implementation period, all illegally parked vehicles near the affected roads will be towed away or repeatedly ticketed without prior warning. At the same time, crowd management measures will be implemented depending on the traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Citizens should use Public transport to the area concerned.

The government stated that from the evening of Saturday (11th), special traffic arrangements will be implemented in the South of the New Territories, West Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.

South New Territories started at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday (11th) at the earliest. The branch road leading to the southbound line of Ting Kau Bridge on Tuen Dou Road was closed, and then the Lantau Link, Cheung Tsing Tunnel, Tsing Yi South Bridge and other roads were gradually closed.

The West Kowloon District will be closed in six phases from 0:45 on Sunday (12th), including the southbound line of the West Kowloon Highway between the roundabout of Mei Tsing Road and the Western Submarine Tunnel. The pipeline in the direction of Hong Kong will be temporarily closed from 0:45 a.m. to about 1:15 p.m. on Sunday; the pipeline heading for Kowloon will maintain normal traffic.

On Hong Kong Island, roads will be closed in eight stages starting from 1:30 on Sunday (12th).

Eastbound Island Eastern Corridor between eastbound Victoria Park Road and Tung Hei Road slip road; slip roads from Hing Fat Street, Man Hong Street and Tai Koo Wan Road leading to eastbound Island Eastern Corridor are closed.

As for the pedestrian precinct on Chater Road; the pedestrian precinct on Lockhart Road between Cannon Street and East Point Road; the pedestrian precinct on East Point Road; the pedestrian precinct on Great George Street between East Point Road and Paterson Street, the implementation time will be Delay until 3 pm on Sunday or when all major roads on Hong Kong Island are unblocked.

1. Vehicles from Lantau Island to Kowloon must be diverted via Tsing Yi Northwest Interchange, Tsing Yi North Shore Highway, Tsing Tsuen Road, Tsuen Wan Road, Kwai Chung Road, Cheung Sha Wan Road and Lai Chi Kok Road


2. Vehicles from Ma Wan to Kowloon must be diverted Tsing Yi Northwest Interchange, Tsing Yi North Coast Highway, Tsing Tsuen Road, Tsuen Wan Road, Kwai Chung Road, Cheung Sha Wan Road and Lai Chi Kok Road

The pipeline heading towards Kowloon will maintain normal traffic.

1. Westbound lanes of the Eastern District Corridor between Tung Hei Road slip road and westbound Victoria Park Road;


2. Westbound lanes from Nam On Street, Chai Wan Road, Tai Hong Street, Oi Channel, Hong On Street, Taikoo Wan Road, King's Road The junction with Jiankang Middle Street, Tang Shui Road and Wo Fu Road lead to the slip road to the westbound of the Eastern Island Corridor;

4. Vehicles along Man Yiu Street do not turn left into Yiu Sing Street eastbound; and


5. Go eastbound along Connaught Road West Flyover to Central-Wanchai Bypass Tunnel eastbound, and Island Eastern Corridor eastbound and Eastern Harbor Tunnel vehicles have to be diverted via Connaught Road West at-grade eastbound, Connaught Road Central at-grade eastbound, Man Kit Street, Connaught Road Central, Gloucester Road, Victoria Park Road, Gordon Road, Electric Road and Java Road.

Phase 4 (1:30 am to about 4:30 pm)

The unnamed road between Man Yiu Street and Yiu Sing Street outside the General Post Office will be closed.

6、介乎鴻興道與駱克道的馬師道天橋;
7、介乎鴻興道與告士打道的馬師道北行線;
8、介乎馬師道與波斯富街的駱克道東行線;
9、介乎駱克道與軒尼詩道的波斯富街南行線;
10、介乎謝斐道與駱克道的波斯富街(中線除外);
11、介乎駱克道與謝斐道的堅拿道東南行線;
12、介乎駱克道與謝斐道的堅拿道西北行線;
13、介乎駱克道與謝斐道的馬師道南行線;
14、介乎軒尼詩道與駱克道的馬師道;
15、介乎波斯富街與怡和街的軒尼詩道東行線;

1、沿菲林明道北行的車輛不准右轉入會議道東行及須改經菲林明道南行或龍和道西行;
2、沿運盛街北行的車輛須右轉入鴻興道天橋;
3、沿馬師道北行的車輛須改經告士打道輔助道路或經馬師道南行掉頭往謝斐道;
4、沿駱克道東行的車輛須改經馬師道地面北行;
5、沿謝斐道東行的車輛須改經波斯富街北行;
6、沿波斯富街南行的車輛須改經駱克道東行;
7、沿軒尼詩道東行的車輛不准左轉入馬師道;
8、沿天樂里行駛的車輛不准直駛往馬師道北行及須左轉或右轉入軒尼詩道;
9、沿軒尼詩道東行往高士威道的車輛須改經波斯富街南行、禮頓道、邊寧頓街及怡和街東行;
10、沿怡和街東行的車輛不准左轉入糖街;
11、沿記利佐治街往告士打道南行的車輛須改經大坑道天橋南行;及
12、沿維園道天橋南行的車輛須改經告士打道輔助道路(於上午十時四十五分,車輛可駛入大坑道天橋南行)。

第7階段(凌晨3時45分至約上午8時45分)

封路
1、介乎高士威道與維園道的興發街;
2、介乎帆船街與柏景臺的電氣道;
3、介乎興發街與電氣道的琉璃街;及
4、介乎興發街與電氣道的清風街。

交通改道

1、沿高士威道東行往興發街的車輛須改經英皇道東行;
2、沿英皇道西行往興發街的車輛須改經高士威道西行;
3、沿電氣道南行的車輛須左轉入帆船街,前往柏景臺的車輛除外;
4、由柏景臺停車場駛出的車輛須改行電氣道及帆船街;
5、沿電氣道往清風街的車輛須改經帆船街;及
6、沿興發街南行的車輛須左轉入歌頓道東行。

第8階段(凌晨4時至約上午10時45分)

封路
1、介乎東區走廊西行下行斜道與告士打道西行的維園道西行部分行車線,往告士打道輔助道路的慢線及往告士打道西行的第二慢線除外;
2、由告士打道北行往告士打道西行的天橋;及
3、介乎東區海底隧道出口與通往民康街下行斜道的東區走廊西行線(至上午約十時三十分)。

交通改道
1、沿清風街天橋行駛的車輛須改經維園道西行餘下行車線;
2、沿告士打道天橋北行往告士打道西行的車輛須改經告士打道輔助道路;及
3、民康街支路封閉期間,由東區海底隧道出口往東區走廊西行的車輛須改經康安街或太安街、筲箕灣道及英皇道。

乙﹒停車位暫停使用

1、位於興發街公眾停車場的二十九個停車位將於二月十一日下午三時至晚上十時暫停使用;
2、所有位於興發街公眾停車場的停車位將於二月十一日晚上十時至翌日下午三時暫停使用,殘疾人士停車位除外;
3、下列地點的路旁停車位及上落客貨區將於二月十二日凌晨零時零一分至下午三時暫停使用:
- 耀星街;
- 博覽道東的上落客貨區;
- 博覽道的旅遊巴士停車位;
- 介乎波斯富街與景隆街的謝斐道的傷殘人士停車位;
- 介乎駱克道與軒尼詩道的馬師道的電單車停車位;
- 告士打道近糖街的傷殘人士停車位;
- 林士街近林士街多層停車場;
- 民光街西行近中環三號碼頭的貨車停車位;
- 民光街西行近中環八號碼頭的貨車停車位;
- 中環四號碼頭與中環五號碼頭外的傷殘人士停車位;及
- 中環六號碼頭與中環七號碼頭外的電單車停車位。
4、介乎民耀街與耀星街在郵政總局對出的未命名道路的路旁停車位將於二月十二日凌晨零時零一分至下午四時三十分暫停使用。

丙﹒行人專用區

以下行人專用區的實施時間將延遲至下午三時或港島區所有主要道路解封:
1、遮打道行人專用區;
2、介乎景隆街與東角道的駱克道行人專用區;
3、東角道行人專用區;及
4、介乎東角道與百德新街的記利佐治街行人專用區。

以上特別交通安排實施期間,所有違例停泊的車輛將會在沒有事前警告的情況下被拖走或被重覆票控。
