The UAE continues its relief and humanitarian efforts to help Syria face the effects of the devastating earthquake, by launching a donation campaign for those affected, under the title “Bridges of Goodness”, under the guidance of the President of the State, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in the presence of the Syrian Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Ghassan Abbas, announced the official launch of the campaign today to send donations to those affected by the earthquake.
In addition, Ambassador Abbas continued with the members of the Syrian delegation and a large number of sons and daughters of the community the collection and sorting of donations, in the presence of a representative from the Emirates Red Crescent, whose trucks transported them to their warehouses, in preparation for their transfer to Syria, where the contents of 20 trucks loaded with food and relief materials were transported.
The contents of two trucks loaded with foodstuffs, provided by the Chinese Jiang Zhou Chamber of Commerce in the UAE, and the Chinese Women's Union in the UAE, were transported to the UAE Red Crescent warehouses in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for their transportation to Syria.
