Tragedy in Jerusalem:

 The murderous drive-by attack that took place yesterday (Friday) in Jerusalem claimed the life of eight-year-old Asher Menachem Plai, who was mortally wounded in the drive-by attack.

Asher is the older brother of six-year-old Jacob Israel Plai, who was also murdered in the attack and was buried last night before Shabbat. 

Plai went to Shaare Zedek Medical Center yesterday, where he fought for his life.

This morning he passed away.

Shaare Zedek reported, "The boy arrived in critical condition during CPR and many teams from the trauma unit, from the ER, pediatric intensive care, surgery and pediatric neurosurgery fought for many hours for his life, but unfortunately they had to pronounce him dead."

The condition of the other two wounded is moderately light, conscious and stable." 

The father of the two brothers who was murdered in the attack, Avraham Plai, is still hospitalized after undergoing surgery.

Moishi, the ten-year-old brother, was released to his home. 

In the Ramot neighborhood, even before Shabbat, a local organization began to help the Plai family, which was torn apart by yesterday's attack.

A resident of the neighborhood told Israel Hayom: "The feelings are hard and the fear permeates. We are begging the government to allow the distribution of weapons in the neighborhood, in order to prevent more such disasters, God forbid. The deceased come from very well-known families and everyone here is shocked."

Another murdered in the attack is 20-year-old Shlomo Alter Lederman, who only got married six months ago.

As mentioned yesterday, the terrorist Hossein Karake, 31 years old from the Issawiya neighborhood in East Jerusalem, entered with his car at the bus station in the Ramot neighborhood. 

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu ordered the terrorist's house to be immediately sealed off and instructed to increase forces in the sector and carry out investigations and arrests in the terrorist's vicinity. National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gabir, who arrived at the scene, said: "Obviously, these measures are not enough at the moment.

The death penalty should be enacted for terrorists, next week we will advance the law on carrying weapons." Ben Gabir was greeted at the scene with angry chants: "You lied to us."
