The Kowloon East Regional Traffic Task Force yesterday (February 11) conducted an anti-drink driving operation in the area at about 11:00 pm yesterday (February 11), intercepting suspicious vehicles.
During the operation, police officers found a private car parked on the side of the road near How Ming Street, Kwun Tong, and two men in the car were nervous.
During the police investigation, a 26-year-old local man surnamed Huang sitting in the driver's seat told the officers that he had never driven a private car, and that the driver was a 31-year-old local man surnamed Huang.
The 31-year-old man suspected that he had been drinking and driving the vehicle earlier, and proposed to park the vehicle on the side of the road and exchange seats in order to evade police enforcement.
After preliminary investigation, the 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of "conspiracy to obstruct justice", "driving without a license" and "driving without third-party insurance", while the 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of "conspiracy to obstruct justice". catch.
The two are being detained for investigation and the case is being followed up by the Kwun Tong District Criminal Investigation Team.
