Abu Mazen's office responded to the training of the nine outposts: "Provocation of the Palestinian people" • The Foreign Ministry of the Palestinian Authority: "Severe escalation"

In the office of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, this evening (Sunday), as expected, condemned the cabinet's decision to train nine outposts in the Palestinian Authority and said that "this is a challenge to the American and Arab effort and a provocation of the Palestinian people, which will lead to further tensions and escalation."

The Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the PLO, Hussein al-Sheikh, said that the Palestinian leadership will examine the ways of responding to the decisions of the Israeli Cabinet regarding the residents of Jerusalem and the training of the outposts.

"This is an open war against the Palestinian people that requires immediate international intervention and decisions that will oblige Israel to stop its aggression and actions," he tweeted.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said that this is "a serious escalation in aggression against the Palestinian people, and a crossing of all the known red lines in the management of the conflict. This is a disdain for the efforts being made to stop the escalation and a systematic destruction of the opportunity to revive the peace process."
