An awareness session about the dangers of earthquakes and how to deal with them in Al-Hasakah culture

The Directorate of Culture in Al-Hasakah Governorate, in cooperation with the Al-Ittihad Sports Branch and the Life Skills Team, implemented an awareness course on the dangers of earthquakes and how to deal with them, accompanied by practical exercises.

And the Director of Culture, Abd al-Rahman al-Sayyid, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the two-day awareness session, in which a number of specialists participated, dealt with the importance of community solidarity in disasters, the method of safe exit from homes to open places, and how to real evacuation, especially for the injured and the elderly, and first aid. Medical, psychological and social types, and disaster response in its four phases (acute response, preparation phase, treatment phase, and recovery phase).

Al-Sayed indicated that the life skills team of the directorate implemented the outcomes of the symposium in a practical way to deal with earthquakes, by training a group of students of the Nagham and Qalam Center of the center on evacuation operations and first aid.
