Member of Knesset Tali Gottlieb (Likud) caused a storm today (Sunday) following an extreme statement on Twitter against Supreme Court President Esther Hayut.
"I blame the President of the Supreme Court for the attack. I blame her for the sense of chaos in the people of Israel. I blame her for the destruction and serious damage to democracy and the rule of law," Gottlieb wrote.
"She was afraid of the right-wing government. Not of the reform. So what if there is chaos here, then what if our enemies steal from us because they recognize a weakness in our neighbor, everything is kosher on the way to overthrowing a right-wing government."
Knesset member Yulia Malinovski from Israel Beytenu replied to Gottlieb: "There is no limit to incitement. There really is no red line that you cannot cross."
Former Knesset members Eitan Ginzburg and Abir Kara also criticized the things Gottlieb wrote.
"My words are real incitement and incitement. That a member of the Knesset will accuse the President of the Supreme Court of a murderous attack. Where have we come? Delusional," Ginzburg wrote.
