The Syrian Embassy in the Spanish capital, Madrid, began receiving donations and aid provided by the Syrian community, expatriate actors and institutions, and Spanish associations, to help those affected by the earthquake disaster.
The embassy confirmed in a statement today that it has mobilized its efforts to send aid provided by Syrian expatriates and Spanish associations to Syria, pointing to the opening of a bank account to donate to help those affected by the earthquake.
Chargé d'Affairs at the Syrian Embassy in Spain, Dr. Abdullah Hallaq, said: All kinds of material aid arrive at the embassy according to the list of priorities and urgent needs set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, indicating that various donations of blankets, clothes, medicines, children's supplies and other relief materials have been received.
Hallaq indicated that the embassy classifies all aid it receives before sending it to Syria, in warehouses that have been allocated to collect donations from Syrian and Spanish citizens.
The Syrian embassy in Madrid launched an appeal to all Arab and Spanish community members, students, and activists to help those affected by the earthquake disaster in Syria.
