Pope Francis called on Sunday February 12 for “
concrete support
” for the populations hit by the powerful earthquake which killed more than 28,000 people in Turkey and Syria, populations that must “not be
forgotten
”.
“
Let us continue to show solidarity, through prayer and concrete support, with the populations affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria
,” he said at the end of his traditional Sunday prayer at the Angelus in Saint- Rock.
"Let's not forget them"
“
I saw (...) the images of this disaster, the pain of these people who are suffering because of the earthquake.
Let us pray for them and remember them, and think about what we can do for them
,” he added.
