Today, the Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, received a telegram of condolence from the head of the Government of National Unity in Libya, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, in which he expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy for the victims of the recent earthquake that struck Syria.
In his telegram, Al-Dabaiba affirmed Libya’s permanent standing with the brothers in the Syrian Arab Republic, through good times and bad times, and he said: “I express to you, the families of the victims, and the Syrian people our deep sorrow and sympathy, and I pray to God Almighty to give you strength and patience to overcome this ordeal,” wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Eng. Arnous also received a telegram of condolence from the Vatican, conveyed by the Papal Embassy in Syria, in which it stated: “His Holiness Pope Francis feels deeply saddened by the fall of the victims as a result of the earthquake. He recites heartfelt prayers for the souls of the victims and calls for patience and solace for their families. Especially for those who work in the emergency forces with tireless efforts to alleviate this suffering,” praying to God Almighty to surround those affected with security and peace and to give them strength in facing this ordeal.
