In politics, many say, almost everything is conversable, and those who seem to be at the opposite of the other's thinking may end up sitting at the same table or sharing a ballot.
There are exceptions, of course, and that of
Javier Milei
and
Elisa Carrió
seems to be one of those that will never confirm the rule.
The candidate of La Libertad Avanza and the leader of the Civic Coalition have
irreconcilable differences
, and neither of them is shy about using them as soon as an opportunity appears.
The last chapter of a fight of no return occurred this weekend, after Carrió declared in an interview that he would probably
"go into exile"
if Milei is elected president in December 2023.
The economist's response was not long in coming.
He accused her of
"being part of the caste"
and of "living on politics for 30 years," among countless questions that he raised about the former national deputy.
"A confession of part of the interests of Carrió. She assures that if I win, she will leave the country. She says it while Kirchnerism has been ruling 16 of the last 20 years. It is clear that
she feels more comfortable with the K that she says she is fighting than with us
," said Milei, hitting Carrió where it hurts the most, linking her to Kirchnerism.
Paradoxically, that is the main dart that is thrown at Milei from radicalism: to be functional to the Front of All.
"Cristina puts a stamp on Milei," summarized Gerardo Morales in a recent interview with
Clarín
, implying that Kirchnerism needs the libertarian to compete with good electoral expectations to undermine the candidate that emerges from a STEP of Together for Change.
Carrió said that if "Milei wins," possibly "I'll go into exile."

Although Milei himself rejects it, any kind of agreement with JxC is completely ruled out precisely because of these
differences that he shows with the radical wing, with the so-called "doves" of the PRO and with Carrió herself
.
For the economist and leader of Avanza Libertad, they are all the same and that is why he is only willing to talk with the hawks of the coalition, especially with Patricia Bullrich and Mauricio Macri, with whom he held meetings last year.
"We came to sweep away the corrupt political system that has become a caste totally disconnected from society. And she is a member of that caste. She
has lived on politics for thirty years,
" he said about Carrió.
And he reminded him that "he was part of the Alianza government, he called to vote for Kirchner, and he was a fundamental part of the failure of Cambiemos."
An explosive combo with which she sought to definitely weaken her, after the CC-ARI leader confirmed her presidential candidacy.
From Milei's environment they explain that, beyond their public statements, for the economist,
Carrió and radicalism plus the "dove" line of the PRO", "they do Kirchnerism with good manners"
. According to what they say, something that bothers Milei is that "Carrió's speech and his profile changed as time went by".
They maintain that "the Carrió of the '90s was an ally of the Socialist Party, but since Kirchnerism stole its speech in the 2000s, it ended up allying with the PRO."
"
She is moved by interests, and that is what defines the breed," they believe
.
In an interview that he gave to the Infobae portal, Carrió was clear in marking his differences with Milei, although he expressed concern about a possible electoral victory for the economist.
"
You have to let Milei go up and down
(in the polls). And if she doesn't go down, this society will face being ruled by Milei. If Milei becomes president, I'll possibly go into exile, for peace of mind. If she wins, "I would stop being responsible for the Nation. If the Nation decides the course of irresponsibility, one can no longer do anything," he said.
