The Anglerverein Moosburg (AVM) has elected a new board of directors.

This was preceded by violent quarrels, which resulted in the resignation of almost all of the old management team.

Moosburg

– At the Moosburg fishing club, everyone was last a deadly enemy.

A dispute between deeply divided blocks plunged the 500-member association into the most serious crisis in its history at the most recent annual general meeting.

On Saturday evening, however, at an extraordinary general meeting in the Schäfflerhalle, people obviously thought better of it.

Even if the bitter dispute between the resigned chairman Michael Hartl and opponent Wolfgang Tschorn was still clearly noticeable, it was possible to agree on a new management team.

The trigger for the quarrel was an introduced e-log and surveillance cameras on the club premises.

Measures that critics like Tschorn took as an opportunity to take a stand against Hartl and his board of directors.

The end of the story was that in addition to Hartl, his deputy Eduard Fischler, water warden Werner Schmidt, water protection officer Peter Mayer, secretary Bernhard Ritzer and cashier Wally Schönauer resigned.

Only youth caretaker Denny Naujoks and the second water protection officer Lothar Bigenski remained in office.

200 members focus on the most important thing: effective leadership

Apart from the fact that those who had resigned once again expressed their regret at the manner in which they saw the accusations as unfounded, the Schäfflerhalle, which was filled with over 200 members, was limited to the essentials.

And that was according to Hartl's insistent presentation.

to elect a new, capable leadership team.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The first problem was determining who was entitled to vote.

It took too long for the list on which everyone was supposed to sign their names to find its way through the ranks.

They were finally laid out on the table by the lectern so that one after the other could come forward and sign their names.

Forming an electoral committee was not easy either.

There were two candidates.

In addition to Gruber, Hans-Jürgen Dickert also stood for election.

Someone who, according to voices around Hartl, belongs to the camp of critics.

However, Dickert lost in a runoff against Gruber.

After that it went relatively quickly.

After a good two hours, the new board of directors, headed by Karl-Heinz Seeberger, was established.

Similar to his fellow campaigners, the new 1st chairman, who had already worked as a youth director in the club, emphasized that he wanted to end the dispute and bring the club forward again.

He literally said: "I want to help ensure that the club remains fit for the future." At the end there was thunderous applause for Seeberger and his new management team.

Apparently by a clear majority - a reflection of the election results, which were also clear across the board.
