Official and popular delegations, Iranian citizens, Syrian expatriates and Arabs residing in Iran continued to flock to the Syrian Embassy in Tehran to offer condolences for the victims of the earthquake that occurred in Syria and to provide assistance to the Syrian people.

The Syrian Ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub, during his meeting with an Iranian student delegation representing the universities of Tehran and the Basij "Popular Mobilization" organizations, stressed the importance of the existing strategic relations between Syria and Iran and their development in various fields, noting that Iran's government, leadership and people stand by Syria.

In turn, the Iranian student delegation expressed its condolences and solidarity and its standing by the Syrian people to face the repercussions of the devastating earthquake.

Ali Yazdi, the official of international affairs in the Basij Organization “Popular Mobilization”, expressed the organization’s readiness to provide various assistance to the Syrian people.

For his part, the head of the Iranian branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, Ali Abbas, said: “The Syrian students in Iran will organize tomorrow a stand in solidarity with Syria and those affected by the earthquake in front of the headquarters of the United Nations Organization in Iran, and the representative of the United Nations will be handed over a letter calling for the lifting of the unilateral and unfair coercive sanctions against the Syrian people.” .

In statements to SANA reporter, a number of Iranian students who visited the embassy affirmed their readiness to extend a helping hand to their Syrian brothers, calling for lifting the siege on the Syrian people, who have suffered and are still suffering from its effects and the repercussions of the earthquake.

In the same context, Ambassador Dayoub affirmed, during his meeting with a delegation of Syrian and Iranian businessmen, that the embassy will provide all necessary facilities to deliver donations and aid to those who deserve it.

In turn, Dr. Mayas Younis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Investors” commercial group and member of the Board of the Syrian Imprint Youth Foundation, expressed his readiness to provide assistance to those affected by the earthquake, pointing to the importance of continuing to work with the embassy to deliver it.

A joint committee was formed that included members of the embassy and some members of the Iranian branch of the National Union of Syrian Students to supervise the donation and aid operations to deliver them to the affected people.

A delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy, ​​during its visit to the Syrian Embassy in Tehran, expressed its condolences for the earthquake victims, expressing Vietnam's readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance to the Syrian people to overcome this ordeal.
