Omar Perotti crossed Aníbal Fernández again: "The only thing missing is that they ask Santa Fe to guard the country's borders"

2023-02-12T00:33:48.615Z

He added a new round to the dialectical exchange with the Minister of Security, who had sent him to solve drug trafficking problems with the provincial police.

Aníbal Fernández's latest criticism of Santa Fe's security policy did not go unnoticed.

Far from going to the deck, Omar Perotti retorted:

"This shows that the national government abandons Rosario

. "

"He has the problem," the National Security Minister had said about the growth of drug trafficking and the management of the provincial president.

He then proposed to her: "

Resolve it with his police

and we will help him in the best way."

The governor came out to answer him for the second time in less than a week.

"He asks us to take care of federal crimes.

All that remains is for them to ask Santa Fe to guard the country's borders

so that weapons or drugs do not enter," he ironized.

The rally began on Wednesday night, when

Perotti fired his former Security Minister, Rubén Rimoldi

.

Since then, the Peronist rope that unites the Casa Rosada with the provincial Executive branch has only tightened due to the critical situation that Rosario is experiencing after having closed a year with a record homicide rate.

In the last round, Aníbal Fernández pointed out that Rafael is the only governor who has difficulties with his police.

He then insisted:

"We help him in the best way

. "

Perotti did not like the reaction of the former Quilmes mayor in the midst of the crisis that led to a series of

attacks against public buildings and police stations

in the largest city in his district.

In the first place, he stated that the contribution of the federal forces is insufficient.

He now he directly targeted the position of the national official.

"It has been shown that

with political verbiage and Twitter Chicanas, the problems

of insecurity in the country are not resolved," Perotti said in a statement.

He then warned that "if drugs continue to enter the country's border, no one will stop" this scourge.

The provincial president considered that "

the minister's fight should not be against him or against any governor

, but against drug crime."

He thus returned to throw the darts that he threw on Thursday, when he stated that Fernández "still does not understand the reality of Rosario."

The only point on which the Peronist leaders agreed these days is that

the issue has not been resolved for many years and is not temporary

.

The difference arose and grew around who is responsible for the lack of solutions and the succession of failed plans.

The last time Fernández visited the city, at the beginning of December, he blamed "all the previous governments" that the province had for the increase in homicides and the development of drug trafficking.

He now seems to have added the current administration to the list.

Referring to Perotti's claim to add federal forces, he stated: "

He does not understand security

. That he thinks that it is not enough is almost a mockery."

In his turn, Rafael recalled that his province "contributes billions of dollars" to the national Executive.

"When Santa Fe asks for more help to defend the people of Rosario,

we receive attacks

," he complained.

In the midst of the conflict, the new Minister of Security, Claudio Brilloni, stepped on the accelerator to the full to close the transition.

This Friday

he swore in Martín García as general director of the police

.

During the ceremony in which he put the former deputy chief of the force into office, the retired commander of the Gendarmerie also summoned his new Secretary of Public Security, Marcos Romero.

"I spoke with the President, the Anibal thing is useless," says Rosario's mayor Pablo Javkin

In a dialogue with Radio con Vos, the mayor of Rosario Pablo Javkin joined Perotti's criticism and pointed against Aníbal Fernández for his statements about the critical situation of insecurity that his city is going through.

In this sense, he stressed that this is an important and worrisome conflict in which the national government should take action.

"The problem is very serious and is rooted in 10 or 12% of the city. It has two origins: the freedom with which they act from prisons and the very notorious lack of permanent prevention forces on the street. I cannot accept that those who have power and authority to take care of us in this situation, do not do it," he said in radio statements.

On the cross between the governor of the province and the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, he was forceful: "I come from Juan's house, who is a neighbor whose house was shot twice so that they hand over the house, see if I will I am going to explain to Juan the discussion between a Minister and the province...we have to stop screwing around with this".

And he added: "I spoke with the president this week, he asked me for the details of the most urgent actions. The Anibal thing is useless. It is very clear that Rosario should be prioritized from the Nation."

The head of the Organized Crime Agency of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPA), Luis Schiappa Pietra, who assured this Saturday that "the chaos in Rosario is not circumstantial but structural" also spoke about the situation.

He said it in dialogue with Télam, where he explained that "for years there have been illicit markets that are absolutely uncontrolled" and "there is no state agency with regulatory capacity to prevent the violent emergents of these criminal plots."

"The Police have lost the absolute capacity to regulate criminal phenomena with some minimum degree of preservation. There is a very evident contempt for public institutions, we must react very strongly, we cannot let that go," said the prosecutor.
