The "Guardian" newspaper reported today (Sunday) that Iran transferred to Russia armed drones that Russia could use in its war against Ukraine.
According to the information coming from sources in Ukraine, 18 drones were transferred to Putin's fleet by ships and aircraft of the Islamic Republic. The shipment comes after a delegation of Russian officers and technicians visited Tehran last November, where they were shown a purposeful display of Iranian developments.

At that meeting, the Russian delegation, which included ten team members, ordered about six Mohajer-6 drones, capable of reaching a distance of up to 200 km and carrying two missiles under each wing.
These planes are able to carry out bombings and return to the launch site unscathed.
Along with this, additional drones of the Shahed 131 and 136 type were also ordered, which Russia used many times in its invasion of Ukraine, in light of their ability to carry out attacks in the air and on the ground.

The drones were manufactured at the military plant in the city of Isfahan in Iran which, according to foreign reports, was attacked on January 28 by a vehicle identified as an Israeli drone. US officials claimed that the attack was carried out in light of Israel's concerns about Iran and not out of a desire to influence the Ukraine-Russia war.
The current shipment illustrates the rapprochement between Russia and Iran.
Earlier this month, the "Wall Street Journal" revealed that the Iranians and the Russians are working on a plan to establish a factory in Russia that will be able to produce at least 6,000 Iranian drones. Increasing cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.
