Today, the council of the town of Hameen in the Drakeesh countryside in Tartous governorate evacuated two buildings from the residents because they were not safe, in order to ensure the safety of their residents.
The head of the Hameen town council, Ahmed Mualla, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the council, in cooperation with the Public Safety Committee, found that the technical condition of two residential buildings is unsafe, and that they are not qualified for housing until they are reinforced, and the necessary controls for that will be organized tomorrow.
Mualla revealed that one of the buildings consists of one floor and the second consists of three floors and is inhabited by four families, calling for caution and taking caution from approaching buildings that are about to fall and informing the Public Safety Committee of any building that has cracks and cracks in order to conduct the necessary examination and for the sake of public safety.
In turn, the head of the Public Safety Committee in Drakeesh, Eng. Samir Asaad, explained that during a survey on schools in the region because they have priority, and on cracked buildings, and based on contacts from the Hameen Town Council and the people, a committee on the two builders was detected, and it was found that there were cracks and cracks in the walls and columns and a displacement of the building. And that they need to be directly reinforced in order to be ready for housing, adding that the head of the town council was instructed to evacuate the two buildings and not return to them until after the reinforcement.
