Trying to thwart the protest?

The Civil Service Commission informed all government ministries today (Sunday) that an employee who will sit down tomorrow will not be paid and will not be able to take a day off.

The exceptions are employees who "have been approved in advance by their direct supervisor to take a day off or be absent on the eve of illness, regardless of a strike."

Earlier, the Minister of Education Yoav Kish said that "a teacher or a student who is not present: the students will have a deduction and the teachers will not receive payment. I think the education system should stay out of the political debates."
