While drug trafficking is advancing in Rosario, leaving a trail of dead and injured, the national government defended its contribution to security in the city and once again criticized Omar Perotti's management in the province.
In a statement shared on social networks by the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, and the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, the Executive Power pointed out that "the consequences of drug trafficking are too painful and leave no room for meaningless discussions or
for political gain".
The Government highlighted that in the first place they work in Rosario
"without press campaigns or marketing
, and far from the show and the media bravado out of respect for the lives that drug trafficking took."
And he clarified that for this, "the most basic professional standards of an area where the confidential handling of information, reserved planning and surprise are central to defining the success of an operation" are followed.
The document stated that the effort required "is very large" and that it implies the work of "3,693 men and women of the federal forces" who are described as "worthy professionals" grouped into a unified command and who "work daily contributing the best of himself in the streets of Rosario".
