A convoy for students of Al-Wadi International Private University to provide relief to the affected people in Lattakia

Homs, SANA- A relief convoy was launched from Wadi al-Nadara area in Homs governorate for the people of the affected areas in the Syrian Arab Republic.

A convoy of relief aid for the people of the stricken areas in Lattakia, provided by the National Union of Syrian Students branch of Al-Wadi Private University, departed from Wadi Al-Nadara area in Homs governorate.

The convoy includes 23 trucks, buses and tourist cars loaded with medical, food and relief materials, accompanied by more than 120 people from the union's cadres and university students.

Tariq Kakhia, head of the university branch of the Students' Union, stated that donations were collected directly from the people of the Valley, Talkalakh and Safita, all the way to the relief center at Tishreen University, to deliver all the aid that was sorted and packed into rations.

Kakhia pointed out that the university branch was launched from the first day of the earthquake as part of the National Union of Students' plan to respond immediately by providing aid, through participation with civil societies, the Syrian Trust for Development, and the Al-Areen Humanitarian Foundation, which set off with several convoys to the stricken governorates with convoys named Earthquake (1, 2, and 3). Noting the state of solidarity and solidarity in which the Syrian people have proven that they are alive and capable of overcoming adversity.

Volunteer Fouad Saqr talked about the launch of volunteer work at Al-Wadi University by students, and helping all the people spontaneously to collect in-kind donations of various necessary materials, to help and support our people in the regions of Aleppo, Jableh, Lattakia and Hama.

The volunteer, Rawan Ramadan, said that the role of university youth in relief work is an affirmation of the youth's active contribution towards our people who were affected by the earthquake.

As for the volunteer, Ibrahim Al-Saleem, he considered that the relief initiatives that were launched since the earthquake occurred until now confirm the greatness of this people who came to the aid of the people of the stricken governorates, and that the contribution of the Student Union confirms the ability of the Syrian youth to help and support the families in all parts of the country.
