After presenting symptoms of a cold, the British queen consort, Camilla, "has tested positive for the covid virus," Buckingham Palace said in a statement Monday.
The WHO affirms that covid-19 remains a global health emergency, but the pandemic is at a "transition point"
As a result, it "has regretfully canceled all his public engagements this week and sends his sincerest apologies to those who were scheduled to attend them," the palace added in the statement.
Buckingham is currently in the midst of preparing for the three-day celebration to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III, which will take place in three months.
The coronation will take place on Saturday May 6th, a “Great Coronation Luncheon” and “Coronation Concert” will take place the following day, and there will be an additional bank holiday on Monday.
The public will be invited on the final day to join “The Big Help Out” by volunteering in their communities.
