– The career day in the Moosburg town hall is a must for companies looking for skilled workers.

And for young people who have not yet set the course for their first steps in professional life.

This time, too, several hundred guests came for a day to get to know companies from Moosburg and the surrounding area.

There was a lot of help in the supporting program.

This year, 42 stands were set up in the town hall and the adjoining gymnasium - which means another plus of two participants compared to the previous year, when the second hall was added for the first time when the restart after the Corona compulsory break.

While the focus in the morning is traditionally on pupils and trainees, the fair in the afternoon is also aimed at qualified specialists and students.

New times require new efforts

This year, a traditional local company, the Heilingbrunner fashion house, was there for the first time.

The two managing directors, Susanne and Martin Heilingbrunner, introduced the students to the fashion house, which has been in existence for more than 200 years, and made the offer to get a taste of the family business with a school internship.

Susanne Heilingbrunner also made it clear that the sales staff had to communicate with the customers and that this was something that not everyone was able to do.

The two managing directors had a good feeling at the premiere and agreed to be part of the career day in the future.

Susanne Heilingbrunner remembered with some wistfulness the days of yore when the fashion house had at least 20 applications every year.

"Today you have to approach people," said the managing director and saw the career day as a very good opportunity to make initial contacts.

The next step for interested parties would then be to try out the profession in the form of an internship.

"As the largest employer in Moosburg, we want to draw attention to ourselves," emphasized Christina Neumaier, Human Resources specialist at Jungheinrich.

The HR manager is happy that the career day is back in attendance after the forced Corona break.

She and her colleagues at the stand presented a modern employer with 35 working hours a week and 30 vacation days.

Neumaier was also able to explain to the young people that Jungheinrich provides training as needed – for positions that will become vacant in the coming years.

The trainees thus have the prospect of staying with the company permanently if they develop accordingly.

Absolute maximum now reached

Ann-Kathrin Maier, organizer of the Moosburg Marketing Career Day, was very satisfied with the event.

With 42 stands, the absolute maximum has now been reached.

The traditional offers such as free application photos, the application portfolio check or advice for professional training or the job interview were well received on this day, which is so important for many schoolchildren, and on which many doors open.
