The head of the Federation of Chambers of Industry, Ghazwan Al-Masry, announced that industrialists from various chambers will continue to provide cash and in-kind donations to those affected by the earthquake that hit Syria.
Al-Masry explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the federation launched a donation campaign since the first day of the earthquake, and called on industrialists in all governorates to provide a helping hand and assistance in all its material and in-kind forms, including medicines, medical equipment, prohibitions, and foodstuffs for those affected, pointing to the wide response among industrialists, to donate to their afflicted families. .
Al-Masry pointed out that the in-kind donations of industrialists from the products of their factories, which included medicines, first aid, relief and food materials, started from the first day of the earthquake and are continuing, in addition to the continuous cash donations in the “earthquake victims’ donations” account at Al Baraka Bank.
Al-Masri, who heads the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, stated that the value of the donations of the members of the Board of Directors of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside to those affected has exceeded one and a half billion Syrian pounds so far.
The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry launched the donation campaign for those affected by the earthquake, and allocated an account number in Al Baraka Bank Syria for cash donations, whereby donations can be accepted by transfers for the benefit of the afflicted inside Syria in Syrian pounds and outside Syria in dollars, through Al Baraka Bank.
