The RN deputy from the North wants to reach article 7 concerning the raising of the legal age of departure.

The National Rally recalls its role as an opponent.

After a week of parliamentary debates on pension reform, notably marked by heckling and obstruction by the Nupes, the RN deputy from the North, Sébastien Chenu, also wants to be heard.

Invited to France Inter on Monday February 13, the elected official called on the deputies on the left to withdraw their "

phony amendments

", to reach the vote on article 7 raising the legal age of departure.

I was not elected simply to blablater

”, thus declared in the preamble the one who is also vice-president of the National Assembly.

In recent days, the discussions have sometimes got bogged down in the very many amendments tabled – around 20,000 in all, more than half of which are signed by La France insoumise.

"

The problem is that many do not want us to go to the vote

," said Sébastien Chenu.

The Lepenist deputy therefore appealed to his “

left and far left colleagues

”: “

Withdraw your amendments!

If you withdraw all your amendments which are bogus, that is to say the amendments in which we speak of rain and good weather, lettuce leaves (...).

If you withdraw your phony amendments, we will be able to go to article 7 which is fundamental and which worries the French

”, he declared.

He wants to believe it is possible to "

put the government in a minority

", especially on this part of the text.

Since the beginning of the debates, the two groups - RN and Nupes - have adopted different strategies.

Very present in the street, the left alliance remains divided as to the management of its amendments, while the boss of the CGT Philippe Martinez calls for a vote.

For its part, the group led by Marine Le Pen maintains its desire to be present only in the hemicycle.

"

It's a constant with us, we're not a central union

", even recalled Sébastien Chenu, refusing to parade "

with such hypocrites

", namely the unions which he accuses of having "

elected Emmanuel Macron

" in the second round of the presidential election.
