Speaking ahead of the event Sunday night, Rihanna said she had initially been hesitant to take up the challenge of singing at a physically demanding event just months postpartum.
“Should she be making big decisions like this right now?
I might regret this later,” she told the media that she asked herself.
“But when you become a mom, something happens that makes you feel like you can take on the world, that you can do anything,” Rihanna said.
“The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world.
As terrifying as it was, because she hadn't been on a stage in seven years, there's something extremely exciting about the challenge that that presents."
