The Minister of the Interior, Major General Muhammad al-Rahmoun, discussed with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoliarić-Eger, joint cooperation relations.
The Minister of Interior stated that the Syrian state is cooperating with international organizations, including the International Red Cross, by providing the necessary facilities and assistance to facilitate its work, which would help the Syrian people.
Al-Rahmon pointed out that since the first moments of the earthquake, the state, in addition to the local activities and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, rushed to rescue citizens, aid the injured, remove the rubble and provide the necessary needs for those affected, despite the difficult circumstances and the limited capabilities in light of the inhumane sanctions imposed on Syria, and the theft of resources. The Syrian state consists of oil and wheat, pointing out that there are thousands of citizens who have become homeless and need to build what was destroyed by the earthquake.
In turn, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross indicated that the committee is working to provide aid and emergency needs as soon as possible, in coordination with the Syrian Red Crescent.
