The repetition of scorching summers in recent years has allowed everyone to experience global warming.
In Europe, a broad consensus has thus emerged on the fact that human activities influence this disorder, and that it is necessary to rectify the situation.
Brussels translates this aspiration into an ambitious objective: a reduction of at least 55% in net greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 1990. These gases (carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, etc.) which retain part of the heat received by the sun in the atmosphere is massively generated by the combustion of fossil fuels, certain industrial processes or even intensive farming.
In France, the most emitting activities are, in descending order, according to INSEE: road transport, agriculture, manufacturing industry and construction, use of buildings, energy industries, etc.
