With the succession of painful scenes that reveal the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake, NGOs and volunteer youth teams are intensifying emergency response work in the affected governorates, to help those affected and secure the necessary supplies for them, including the Charitable Society for Sustainable Development in Damascus, which launched a voluntary humanitarian initiative in support of those affected.
The initiative included a campaign to secure and collect relief aid, including blankets, winter coats, clothes, baby food, shoes, infant formula, and medicines.
The executive director of the association, Majd Radwanian, told SANA reporter that the initiative included collecting and securing the necessary aid for the people affected by the earthquake in the affected governorates, explaining that the volunteer youth team of the association is diligently, lovingly and actively sorting and packing the aid that has been secured and collected from donors, and preparing it for shipment to the affected governorates, in order to facilitate To work and out of their national and humanitarian duty.
She pointed out that work is continuing in this initiative to contribute, as much as possible, to help and support those affected in the affected governorates, in coordination with the Federation of Charitable Societies in Damascus, as part of the national campaign initiative to help those affected by the earthquake.
The young volunteer, Sarkis, indicated that this initiative was characterized by impulsiveness and a desire to contribute to alleviating the suffering of our people in the affected governorates.
The young volunteer, Serena, stated that this volunteer work to help those affected by the earthquake reflects the values of love and cooperation between members of society and the keenness of Syrian youth to affirm their sense of patriotism in these difficult circumstances.
The young volunteer, Hanna, considered that the national responsibility rests with all young people to contribute to providing support to those affected in these difficult circumstances.
