Relief aid arrived from the Dabousiya crossing in Homs for those affected by the earthquake, from the two associations (Al-Salam and Alfa Club) in the Lebanese governorate of Akkar. It was received by the volunteer team at Al-Hawash University in the Wadi Al-Nadara region, and it includes food, blankets, infant formula and medicines.

Youssef Muhammad, head of the Student Union branch at Al-Hawash University, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the Al-Hawash University convoy set off with the aid provided by the university for our affected people, from the Dabousiya crossing to Aleppo, noting that the volunteer team at the university works day and night to receive aid from the people and prepare it to go with it to our people. In the afflicted governorates, considering that what the youth of Syria are doing is a humanitarian duty that requires us all to be one hand to alleviate the suffering of those affected.

Muhammad said: This is the fourth convoy that has been conducted to the afflicted governorates, and work is underway to conduct the fifth convoy to Aleppo as well, where aid is delivered to those who deserve it in shelter centers with discipline and without waste, in addition to the participation of young people in the process of removing rubble, calling on all youth energies to Active action to rise from this disaster.

Volunteer Ahmed Al-Kuhailat, a member of the leadership of the Al-Hawash University branch of the National Union of Syrian Students, said: Coordination has been made with the University of Aleppo since the launch from the Dabousiya crossing to supervise the distribution of the contents of the convoy, which includes 2.3 tons of aid, to the shelters in the governorate, pointing to the importance of voluntary initiatives such as These crises, and to the effectiveness and role of the cadres of the National Union of Syrian Students, which is a popular student organization that sponsors volunteer work for youth and directs it to the right place to serve society and the nation.

Volunteer Laith Abu Fakhr explained that, from the first moments of the response, we were keen to deliver all basic supplies to those who deserve them in a fair and regular manner.

Volunteer Muhammad al-Atrash said: As part of the university's campaign, we went to provide psychological support to those affected as much as possible to alleviate the pain and sadness that controlled them to overcome the trauma, considering that psychological support and standing by the affected people is as important as aid, as they need consolation in order to be able to rise again.
