The actor plays Walter White, a modest chemistry professor suffering from lung cancer who, to secretly finance his treatment, launches into the manufacture and trafficking of methamphetamine.
Assisted by his student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), he sets up his makeshift laboratory in a huge motorhome and hides in the desert near Albuquerque in New Mexico.
From the first episode of season 1 of
Breaking Bad
, the character played by Bryan Cranston appears in the middle of nowhere wearing a green shirt and large white underpants.
This minimalist getup, like the huge yellow drysuit he wears later in the series, is among Walter White's most memorable outfits.
So much so that the underwear, actually worn during filming, is now the subject of an auction in the United States.
“The cotton and polyester brief features a white elastic waistband with blue and gold lines
,” the ad details, noting that
“elasticity is largely lost”
.
Estimated between 2,500 and 5,000 dollars, the slip has already received nine offers, the highest of which was 4,000 dollars (about 3,700 euros).
