Cuban President Miguel Canel Diaz Bermúdez, during his visit today to the Syrian embassy in Havana, offered his condolences to the victims of the violent earthquake that hit Syria on the sixth of this month, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
In his speech in the condolence register at the embassy, the Cuban president expressed his country's full support for the Syrian leadership and people in dealing with the repercussions of the earthquake, stressing that Cuba always stands by friendly Syria and that the Syrian people and the Cuban people are brothers.
In the speech he recorded in the record, the Cuban president said: “In the name of the people and government of Cuba, I express our heartfelt condolences to the people and government of brotherly Syria for the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit it last week,” expressing Cuba’s solidarity with the families and relatives of the victims of the violent earthquake, stressing that “the Syrian people and government They can count on Cuba's solidarity in these difficult moments."
The Cuban President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and a number of senior officials.
The representatives of the Syrian embassy expressed their thanks to President Canel Diaz and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for this generous gesture, which expresses the closeness and solidarity of the two friendly countries and peoples, Cuba and Syria.
