Egyptian and Yemeni personalities announced their solidarity with the Syrian people in their ordeal as a result of the earthquake and in the face of the inhumane and illegal blockade imposed by the US administration, and to work to bring it down by all available means.

In a message sent by these personalities to the coordinator of the Arab and international popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria, Majdi Al-Maasrawi: We salute your initiative in launching the Arab and international popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria, which throughout history has been a partner with Egypt in facing all the challenges the nation has gone through, we announce Our full solidarity with the Syrian people in their ordeal that has been going on for more than 12 years, and in the face of the humanitarian and illegal blockade imposed by the American administration, and we declare our readiness to support this campaign by all means available until the fall of this blockade and its repercussions, and we send a message through you to the Syrian people that they are not alone in their suffering Rather, our entire nation is on his side.

The letter included Ali Abdullah Saeed, a leader in the Nasserite Popular Unionist Organization, Abdel Wahhab al-Husami, an Arab nationalist leader, Saeed Muhammad, a university professor, Abeer Qaid Muhammad Awad, an educational unionist, Dr. Retired, Saeed Salem Babrish, a retired pilot, Fatima Thabet Abdel Malik Tabia, and Samir Hameed Saeed, a businessman.

In turn, the head of the Generation Party and the general coordinator of the National Coalition of Egyptian Political Parties, Naji al-Shihabi, called in a statement, a copy of which SANA correspondent obtained, to lift the unjust Western blockade on Syria.

Al-Shihabi said in the statement: Lift the siege on Syria and know that your enemy is the United States of America, and that it is the first enemy of humanity, just as the unjust siege imposed on Syria and its people suffer from it is American bullying.

Al-Shihabi offered his condolences to Syria for the victims of the earthquake, and called on the Arab and Islamic countries to provide all aspects of assistance to the Syrian government to be able to deal with the effects resulting from the earthquake and for the Syrian people to overcome their ordeal and rebuild what was destroyed by the earthquake.

In Yemen, a member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, Ali al-Qahoum, affirmed in a statement to SANA's correspondent in Sana'a his full solidarity with Syria, and called for lifting the Western blockade imposed on it by the US administration and Western countries and for serious action to support it by all available means and capabilities to confront the earthquake disaster.

Al-Qahoum also called on the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world to stage angry demonstrations against this illegal and illegal blockade, which caused the deprivation of the Syrian people of their legitimate rights to a decent life inside their country.

Al-Qahoum condemned the position of the international community, the United Nations and humanitarian organizations for not fulfilling their legal and moral duty towards the humanitarian catastrophe that occurred in Syria, as this is at the core of their duties, as well as by virtue of their membership in those international organizations.
