The CCP seized 30,000 liters of diesel, oil tank trucks and a large number of tools, with a total value of 600,000 yuan, and 10 men and women were arrested.

Assistant Chief of the Fire Department [Task Force (Anti-Illegal Refueling Activities)] Huang Huiwen said that this time the Fire Department dispatched 30 firefighters. A total of 7 illegal gas stations were cracked, 30,000 liters of diesel oil, 5 oil tank trucks and a large number of tools were seized, with a market value of about 600,000 yuan; 6 men and 4 women (aged 23 to 71) were arrested for allegedly violating the "Fire Protection (Elimination of Fire Hazard) Regulations" Regulations, the Dangerous Goods Ordinance and the Dangerous Goods (Control) Regulations.
The Fire Services Department will consider suspending the fire licenses of the relevant vehicles and apply to the court for a confiscation order to confiscate 30,000 liters of diesel.
According to the fire service, among the illegal gas stations busted this time, 3 are concentrated on Dayang Road, one is in Cheung Sha Wan Non-staple Food Market, there is one in Tsing Yi, and two in Tuen Mun.
Illegal gas stations concentrated on the same road not only bring greater fire hazards, but also have a lot of debris such as tables, benches and sun umbrellas, and the oil pollution will affect driving safety, so we cooperate with the FEHD to enforce the law.
Among the 4 dangerous goods vehicles seized on Dayang Road yesterday (13th), one of them violated the licensing conditions and fire safety regulations. The firefighters have picked up the seized diesel oil, and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department issued 17 tickets to remove the obstacles. Notice and removal of over 1 tonne of sundries.
At 3 am today (14th), the authorities busted an illegal gas station that only operated in the early morning at the Cheung Sha Wan Non-staple Food Market.
During the operation, more than 3,500 liters of diesel oil, storage tanks and filling tools were seized.
The Fire Services Department appeals to members of the public not to patronize illegal petrol stations, as they do not provide fire safety facilities or special safety equipment for petrol stations, which would be very dangerous in the event of a fire.
