In addition, lettuce is one of the fast-growing vegetables and is particularly suitable for beginners.
You should note the following tips:
Lettuce tend to have short roots, which is why the bucket or pot does not have to be very deep.
Even pots that are between 15 and 20 centimeters deep and wide are sufficient.
You can also use plastic pots or containers, but you should make sure that mold does not form on these materials.
Regular watering is necessary, but in moderation.
To accelerate germination in winter, a constant temperature of at least 20 degrees Celsius is necessary.

For varieties that should be on the balcony or terrace, February and March are suitable months for sowing.
