The bedroom is the most intimate room in the house, the place where we come at the end of the day looking to get rid of the day's chores, disconnect, rest and relax, therefore, it is important to put thought into it, and create a pleasant, enveloping and super pampering atmosphere.

Using textiles and a lot, pillows, bedding, carpet, proper lighting, and meticulous furniture, you too can create a perfect bedroom for yourself.

As for the design style, the variety is wide, from minimalist, meticulous Scandinavian design to luxury hotel style design.

To this end, we sat down to talk with interior designers Roni Shani Feldstein and Eilat Dar, we gathered tips and a lot of inspiration from a variety of designs we liked so that you can choose the exact bedroom style for you.

"I design bedrooms like a kingdom," says interior designer Roni Shani Feldstein.

"As far as I'm concerned, the bedroom should be a couple and romantic, and if you can take out the screens, that's best. If not, then it's better to hide the TV and integrate it into a cabinet or carpentry details so that it doesn't stand out. Also, sometimes you need to create a work area in the bedroom, and I recommend that too Be as humble as possible. A bedroom is meant to disconnect from the daily routine and rest, and no one wants to lie in bed and look at the computer screen at work."

Feldstein adds, "Materiality is the key in bedroom design, I will always try to create an enveloping atmosphere by using parquet on the floor and wood in the various carpentry details that will give a pleasant feeling of warmth, soft and pampering textiles, pillows, a beautiful and soft blanket, flowing curtains, a rug is a must for me" .

Another detail that adds a lot to a bedroom space is the creation of a power wall, highlighting the central wall in the bedroom using wallpaper, special covering, wall paint or an art piece to make it stand out, this upgrades the space and creates an impressive presence of the bed in the room.

When it comes to bedding, Feldstein recommends keeping the bedding clean and white, just like in a hotel.

"I personally like white linens, but they can be combined with fine textures, different types of textiles and soft tones. Many people come to these details at the last stage, but know that when it comes to textiles, linens, towels, and curtains - they are critical to creating a pleasant and warm feeling, don't give up About that".

Art - the bedroom is a space no less important than the rest of the house and it is also necessary to combine art objects that you like, I like to hang something that is a couple that is expressed in a painting, a picture or a set of two pictures.

Minimalistic and clean, soft textiles and few items

"To me, bedrooms are supposed to be our place of refuge, the place where we can escape from external noises and connect to our inner place, which is why I always choose clean and minimalist design lines," says interior designer Eilat Dar.

"Using soft colors and natural materials will fill the space with calmness and peace. Using soft textiles such as linen in bedding and pillows will only make you want to get into bed."

"If it is necessary to combine the bedroom with the bathroom, I recommend using a glass wall instead of a normal wall - this way the space will appear larger and allow natural light to illuminate both spaces, you can use a soft curtain for intimacy and you can choose glass that is not transparent but frosted, or with a special texture thereby creating a soft and intimate separation. Unlike other spaces in the house, I don't always place lighting above the center of the bed, technical lighting is especially important near the wardrobes or in the bathrooms, specifically around the bed I like to create ambient lighting and therefore recommend placing special fixtures near the nightstands."

"Since bedrooms always tend to get messy, it is advisable to plan customized carpentry with a personal design, one that will meet all the needs of the customers and that will be adjusted to their measurements, that way we will avoid unnecessary clutter in the space, which always produces noises," says Dr.

The biggest piece of furniture in any bedroom is the bed.

How do you use it for design?

In regards to choosing a bed, interior designer Eilat Dar adds: "It is important to choose a bed that is big enough for the customers but not too big for the dimensions of the space. In large bedrooms with high ceilings, you should choose a bed with a prominent and unique back in order to let the wall of the bed be the wall of strength in the space. Smaller ones, I like to choose beds without a large bed frame or bed backs that are too large so as not to overload the space. In such spaces I will choose beds made of materials that match the design language of the room and in some cases I will simply design the bed myself so that it blends cleanly with the rest of the elements in the space."

If the space is large and the ceilings are high - go for a large bed with a protruding bed back.

In summary - cut and save:

  • Minimalism:

it is possible and desirable to avoid an abundance of heavy furniture and elements that accumulate dust and burden the observer's eyes.

  • Textiles, carpets and curtains, pillows:

don't leave the decision on a carpet, pillows and curtains to the end, a bedroom should be intimate and embracing, warm and inviting, and you will achieve this by incorporating as many soft and pleasant textiles as possible that create an enveloping atmosphere.

  • Side chests, mirrors and complementary accessories:

place chests of drawers or chairs next to the bed, it is advisable to choose items that are not the same to create interest and character in the space.

  • Storage:

try to fit closets that will contain all your items, from clothes to bedding, bags, in short: everything.

This will allow you to maintain an exemplary order which is the basis for a pleasant atmosphere in the bedroom.

You can also integrate an organization/work corner into the closet as one piece.

Choose the perfect room style for you, make a grocery list, start by choosing a bed, a quality mattress that will give you a good night's sleep, a beautiful bed that will serve you for a long time, if you are a family, remember that the children like to join in at night sometimes, and maybe you should think about a bed with a width of 1.8 and not 1.6 m, and even more.

If it is a new house, carefully plan the locations of the lighting fixtures and electricity, choose parquet is always better than flooring, and leave a budget for textiles, carpet, and curtains that will add a lot of softness and atmosphere.
