The topic at the NATO meeting will be the war in Ukraine and the alliance's efforts to expand its stockpiles of weapons and ammunition.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is hoping for a decision on further arms deliveries to his country at the meeting of the so-called Ukraine Contact Group in Brussels.
Arms deliveries to Kiev are coordinated through them.
The Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Resnikov is also expected.
The so-called Ramstein Conference, to which representatives from around 50 countries are coming to Brussels at the invitation of the USA, will also discuss further armaments aid beforehand.

Before the Western allies discussed further arms deliveries to Kiev, the Ukrainian commander-in-chief Valeriy Zalushnyi telephoned US General Christopher Cavoli.
A victory for Ukraine means not only the liberation of the territories occupied by Russia, but also the creation of conditions that make it impossible for Moscow to attack Ukraine again in the future.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has confirmed that the German government is currently not considering providing fighter jets for Ukraine in the war against Russia.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk assumes that Germany will deliver fighter jets to his country and calls for a quick decision on this.
